Pigment Problems Bedford Skin Clinic offers laser and skin treatments that can help reduce discolouration of the skin.

Normal skin colour is formed by melanin, a natural pigment that also determines hair and eye colour. When too much melanin is produced, deposits are formed and hyperpigmentation appears in the skin.

Hyperpigmentation is a common clinlical condition and affects people of all skin colours and races, and tends to increase as we age.

Hyperpigmentation may appear as a result of photo-aging, in the form of age spots, liver spots, or freckles.

We offer laser skin treatment with the GentleLase system. Laser light is absorbed by the pigment "melanin" where it is converted into heat causing breakup in the darker areas.

The GentleLase system is ideal for age spots, melasma, cafe-au-lait, freckles, and solar lentigines.

Our Skinceuticals range include peels and alternative products such as plant glycosides and plant hydroquinone ingredients to correct hyperpigmentation.
